FILME BIRDMAN

VERB TO BE (SER / ESTAR) 

O verbo “to be” pode expressar dois significados: ‘ser’ ou ‘estar’. Logo, tanto para dizer que eu sou um professor (I am a teacher), quanto para dizer que eu estou na escola (I am at school), deve-se utilizar o verbo “to be”.


O verbo “to be” no presente se conjuga em ‘am’, ‘is’ e ‘are’.

No passado ‘was’ e ‘were’.

Assista a um trecho do filme 'The Birdman' e completa com a forma correta do verbo ‘To be’ (is, are, was or were).

Ralph: Great Idea! We lived like fugitives then. I never knew if he ______ going to come out from behind a bush, or a car and just start shooting. The man was crazy! He ______ capable of anything!

Laura: Christ, what a nightmare.

PAST SIMPLE OF REGULAR VERBS

Past simple – regular verbs Rule 1: If the verb base ends in a voiceless sound, then the –ed ending sounds like “t”. The “t” is blended together with the previous consonant and NOT PRONOUNCED as an extra syllable. A voiceless sound is like a whisper. Your vocal cords DON'T VIBRATE .
