PAST SIMPLE OF REGULAR VERBS

Past simple – regular verbs Rule 1: If the verb base ends in a voiceless sound, then the –ed ending sounds like “t”. The “t” is blended together with the previous consonant and NOT PRONOUNCED as an extra syllable. A voiceless sound is like a whisper. Your vocal cords DON'T VIBRATE . In a business context, it might be used in a more literal sense, such as hanging a sign or a banner. For example: 💬 "Please hang the new company banner outside the office for the event."  💬 "Please hang the new promotional banners in the lobby for the product launch." 💬 "We need to hang the company policies poster in the break room."
